Aberdulais Falls

Historic site 400 years old, remains of Tinplate work with waterwheel producing electricity, and turbine house for generating electricity. For over 300 years this famous waterfall has provided the energy to drive the wheels of industry from the first manufacturer of copper in 1584 to the present day. Remains of the tinplate works. The site today houses an unique hydroelectric scheme which has been developed to harness the waters of the Dulais River to power the turbine and waterwheel which makes the falls self-sufficient in electricity production
